Introduction

I like to get lost in the wilderness and try and find my way out. I call it hiking :) I lead hikes for NHM about once a month, and I hope to remember everyones names... Someday.. Can't wait to see everyone on the trails!

Hi John....I have a question about the Piney River hike. Last weekend I hiked LeConte and then the next day Charlie's Bunion....have a really sore achilles.. I'm trying to avoid a lot of hills until it feels better--how hilly will this hike be? I looked up the trail and it said just 800' elevation gain but will we gain and lose that several times throughout the day? Thanks!
