I am proud to be an active "fifty something" and a member of this wonderful group. Due to chronic knee issues which worsened over the past year, I had knee replacement surgery in November 2009. I am rehabbing now and hope to back out there soon!
I did some Googlefication and found the Hiking Meetup site.
"The love of nature and concern for the Earth's welfare that we share in common is such a bond between us. If you are looking for a hiking "family" - you've found one!"
Great hikes, wonderful community service projects, and fascinating people who are actively engaged with the outdoors and those of like minds. If this is YOU - join us!

Tsali is the same weekend again!!! That SUCKS!!
Linda was your Sweep, I was just lagging behind, distracted as usual. As for South Cove Ridge, I was happy to lead Mike and Matthew (hope I got their names right) over it, I wouldn't have wanted to miss that part of the hike. The scenery was beautiful and we hiked within a few feet of several deer--practical
ly had to shoo them off the trail (the deer, not Matthew and Mike).
It was a pleasure meeting you, Diana. I had a great time for my first hike. I know that I ran my mouth just about as much as I hiked. I am recommending this group to some friends and family (but they don't talk as much as I do).
Thank you Diana, I look forward to meeting everyone and having a great time. I have always wanted to be around people who enjoy the outdoors as much as I do.
Thanks again Diana for writing!
Thanks for the message! It was nice talking to you too!
Hey, Diana, it was great to have you back on the Friday Radnor Hike Active List!

"QUICK": There is an inverse relationship between the length of a hiking trail's sustained elevation and how QUICK the little red caboose is. There will be NO demo photos.
Hey, Diana! You missed breakfast at Radnor today! http://tinyurl.com/redtailed-hawk![]()

Going to miss you on the hike this morning. Hopefully see you tomorrow.
