  •  I'd like to attend the Mystery, Suspense, etc meet-up tomorrow at the West End Borders, but I don't feel confident that my current is ready for review (I literally just started it last week, and haven't even gone through for spell-check). Would I be able to attend without bringing any work to share this time around? I'm new to writing mysteries and would love to just sit in and listen to the discussion.

  •  The weekend of the BBQ cook-off is very crowded, parking is scarce and would be hard to take a group to eat anywhere there but the BBQ. We have friends in the cook-off and we go often. Fun, but not a good weekend for big group unless everyone rode in a van. People park all the way down the roads in both directions for this event.

  •  Great job herding the cats tonight. Thanks!

  •  Sorry I couldn't make it happen tonight, and thanks for organizing. I hope to make an event soon.

  •  Thanks, Fly. I looked at the directions on google (it's 10 miles from me, a straight shot down 70S), but my husband decided I should go a quicker way down 40 to 440, then West End... That's fine for him, as he can find his way anywhere, but I am mentally challenged when it comes to directions - and direction. So, yeah, I ended up in Belle Meade. I'll keep trying till I get it right.

  •  Thank you. Sitting in on a couple of meetings would be great!

  •  It is very crowded during the BBQ cookoff. We go to that event because we have friend who is in the cook-off. That would not be a good time to go as a group at all. Parking is terrible. I love the horses at the event and enjoy going to visit friends we've met there.

  •  If we can't eat at Miss Bobo's there are other places we could find. I just know that would be fun but didn't think about the number of people who make reservations.

  •  hey fly - eugene w/ the english grammar group is from ukraine - he is wanting to learn with the group (not teach) better english and grammar writing skills. there is a retired english prof. in the group who is keeping everyone in check! i was one of only four native english speaking people there - it is a great group for what they want to accomplish, but probably not something you or donna would be interested in. it was very interesting - i met some very intelligent, funny people.
