I am the State Naturalist for Tennessee State Parks and would like to lead outings to our parks and natural areas for everyone that is interested. I have been a Ranger for 26 years before I took to traveling as the statewide nature guide.
From several people that are members. I also saw the Facebook page and thought that this is a group I would like to get to know.
great group, interested in everything about the trail

I think you should organize an encore hike in Savage Gulf and the Falls there ,Randy, for all the folks in Chattanooga Hiking Meetup who could not go with Rhonda last time. But give me a heads up so I can get in! I'm betting it would fill very quickly!
Thank you so much. We had a great time.
I'm looking forward to the Franklin State Forest hike on Feb 12th. I'm not a speed-hiker and like to take the time to pay attention to and notice what can be seen and heard along the trail. The 8-mile length is going to be 2 or 3 more miles than I'm used to hiking, but I'll make it. I've heard that there aren't any drastic elevation changes along this hike (is that true?). I'm looking forward to meeting you.
Welcome to the Chattanooga Hiking Meetup, Randy ! Good to have you aboard. We look forward to the hikes that you'll be leading some of our members on. As a state naturalist, I'm sure there will be much to glean from you. I know they'll be in good hands. Looking forward to hearing the rave reviews.
Randy,
It's a pleasure to have you aboard Paddle Adventures Plus.
We are always open to outdoor adventure ideas & opportunities.
Regards,
Michael
Randy,
My guest will not be able to attend the hike this Sunday at Montgomery Bell but I will still be there.
Thanks,
Cindy Jones
How do I add my friend Jo Ann to the waiting list?
I see this hike is filled for Sunday. Is it safe to hike alone if I go Saturday?
Randy, thanks again for the great hike through the Fiery Gizzard. I posted a couple of photos of the lizard I saw at Raven's Points. I'm still interested in finding out what it was.
I really enjoyed the hike on Saturday. Thanks for leading it. I definitely will notice the plants, animals, and vistas along the trail more.
