Radnor Lake hike, followed by pizza at Joey's Pizza. (map)

We'll start at the Granny White Pike (west) entrance parking lot, start out on the Lake Trail, climb up Ganier Ridge, then come back on either the South Lake trail or the Lake Trail. Otter Creek Road and the South Cove trail are closed due to storms.

Some guidelines for Radnor Lake:

1. Pets are not allowed on the trails.

2. Recommend water and rain gear through the summer months.

3. Note that on good weather days Radnor parking can get crowded. Please observe all traffic flow and parking rules posted.

4. DO NOT enter Radnor Lake from the Franklin Road side. You must enter from Granny White Pike/Otter Creek Road because the road is blocked to vehicle traffic through the park. On maps Otter Creek Road looks like a through street for cars but it is not.

5. There is only one parking lot on the Granny White end so it won't be hard to find us. We'll be the crowd of people standing around.

6. There is not a sign for Radnor Lake on Granny White Pike. Look on the map for where Otter Creek Road intersects Granny White Pike and turn there.

Yes, I would love to go to Burgess Falls. Never been and the photos are great. I'll hope a others would like to either go again or discover them for the first time like me.

Good Morning Ray & All, I had hiked Burgess Falls a couple of weeks ago, & posted the pics to maybe stimulate an interest in NHM to go there. For those who have not been, it is beautiful!

Between the rain and the rush hour traffic my plans were dashed. I look forward to getting out there next week... hopefully w/out rain.

I had a sitter planned but it is storming out here in Franklin, afraid it will be the same when I get to Nashville, so I am gonna save the cash and see you next week. I can't wait for next weeks walk and dinner after!

Good news -- we convinced Joey's Pizza to stay open late and feed us again!
There's a link to a map above, but here's directions to Joey's Pizza: From Radnor, go left on Granny White, left on Old Hickory Blvd, take a right before the Publix shopping center on West Park Drive, then a left onto Maryland Way, then the next IMMEDIATE right onto Ward Circle.

    •  As usual great company. Joeys Pizza is delicious. Thanks LaRae.
    •  Great turnout. We are soon going to take over the entire park.
    •  As always I had a great time. I got there a little early but met with various group members on trail. I saw 3 deer and fawn at split before you go up Ganier Ridge right in the path, got close enough to fawn to almost pet her. Radnor animals are very friendly with little or no fear of Humans, just the way I like it. There were severe thunderstorms in area but it did not rain on me but cooled off about 10 degrees or so making it perfect for the 4.5 mile journey thru the Jewel of Nashville, hope to see everyone next week on trail as I will be statring at 5:30 to avoid heavy traffic coming from Madison. < ; - ) This is a great workout that compliments my various other activties I do weekly to stay in shape. Have a great weekend everyone.
    •  thursday night hike is always a fun hike,,the threat of main never occurred , this loop is only taking us 1 1/2 hours. maybe we need to add another loop around the lake only to get this to a 2+ hike.. Of course one can do this on your own, but what's the fun in that...
    •  LOTS of fun tonight!! Our 2nd biggest crowd ever, and an awesome showing at Joey's!! I think we'll be going back for pizza every other week.
    •  great hike but missed the dinner; maybe next week. Hike all winter?
    •  I really enjoy talking to you guys while hiking. I hiked Burgess Falls July 18th & posted some pictures of the Falls.
    •  The hike was awesome as always, but Joeys was a special treat!
    •  Another great hike! Note that pics from my early loop around the lake are on my Facebook page: http://www.facebo...
    •  Loved the hike, fun people, hope to make diner next time!
