There is nothing better than lending a helping hand and helping someone own their own home!

No experience or tools needed…just smiling faces and an open mind to learn. All the tools are provided and we will teach you the tasks that need to be completed. This build day is the third weekend for this house which involves painting, installing bathroom and kitchen cabinets, interior trim, doors and remaining exterior siding work.

This house is one of 35 that will be built this year. The house is sponsored by the proceeds by the Nashville Habitat Home Stores.

Anyone over the age of 16 can volunteer.

Check in starts at 6:30 (ok, that part is the hardest of the day), safety brief at 7am and work goes until 3:30 p.m.

If you're interested in volunteering but can't make this date, please volunteer with Paddle Adventures Plus on Mar. 6 (click here) or with Team Green on Feb. 28 (click here).

From myself and the future home owner ...Thank y'all for giving up your time and helping somebody else out !!! Sorry it was a little crowded in the house and not enough to keep everyone busy all the time... We decided to hold off the would be outside muddy tasks until next weekend since the house was in get shape.
    Carl.

Just did this with singles yesterday. I wonder if we're working on a new homeowner's house? If I can find a ride I might come out anyway. I'm coming from the Hermitage area.

What a great experience! Thanks for planning this...
    •  Surprising turnout, considering the time change and the semi-rainy cold weather. What a great group!

As miserable and raw as the weather was, the people were incredible! If your faith in humanity is ever flagging, hook up with a project that brings out the best in your fellow travellers. And you just might learn a little something about installing laminate flooring while you're at it.
    •  Great event. Carl is a good supervisor.
    •  So glad I finally got to participate in a Habitat project. It's encouraging to see the outpouring of support our community shows for this very worthwhile organization. An added bonus was that I now know how to lay down flooring. Very cool!!
    •  Even though the weather was miserable, we had a great time and got a lot done!
    •  Great turn out considering the poor weather, time changes, early shows etc. If there is another build day, need to keep the group to 20 or so.
